1. हमारी प्रतिबद्धता / Our commitment
In English: Bharti Hive is an editorial portal that compiles free public information for Indian government-job aspirants. We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little personal data as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
2. What data we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Comment form: If you leave a comment on a post, WordPress stores your name, email address, comment text, and IP address. Your name (or chosen display name) is shown publicly. Your email is never displayed and is used only to identify spam.
- Contact email: If you write to
contact@bhartihive.in, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. Used only to respond to your query.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Server logs: Our hosting provider (Hostinger) logs your IP address, browser user-agent, referrer URL, and timestamp of each visit. These logs are retained for security/abuse-detection purposes for up to 90 days.
- Cookies: See Section 4 below.
- Analytics: We may use Google Analytics / Hostinger Reach analytics to understand which categories and posts are most useful to readers. These tools see anonymized session data, not personal identity.
2.3 Information we do NOT collect
- We do not maintain an email mailing list.
- We do not ask for date of birth, mobile number, Aadhaar, PAN, or any government ID — we are an editorial portal, not a recruiter.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade any reader data to third parties.
3. How we use the data
| Data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Comment author name + email + IP | Spam filtering, contributor identification | Lifetime of the comment (until you request deletion) |
| Email correspondence | Responding to your query | Up to 1 year after last reply, then deleted |
| Server logs | Security, abuse detection | 90 days |
| Cookies | Site functionality, analytics, advertising | See Section 4 |
| Analytics aggregates | Improve content + UX | Anonymized; retained per Google’s policies |
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
4.1 Essential cookies (always on)
WordPress sets a small number of cookies for site functionality (session management, comment form pre-fill, security). These cannot be disabled and contain no personal identifiers.
4.2 Analytics cookies (consent-based)
We use Google Analytics (or equivalent) to count visits per page and understand reader behavior. These cookies are anonymized via IP-truncation. You may opt out at any time:
– Browser-level: Use your browser’s “Block all cookies” or “Block third-party cookies” setting
– Google-wide: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
4.3 Advertising cookies (consent-based)
We may serve ads via Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to:
– Show personalized advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites
– Limit the number of times you see a specific ad
– Measure ad effectiveness
You can opt out of personalized advertising via:
– Google Ad Settings — opt out of Google personalized ads
– aboutads.info — Digital Advertising Alliance industry-wide opt-out
– youronlinechoices.com — European IAB framework
Opting out of personalized ads doesn’t remove ads — it just makes them less relevant.
5. आपके अधिकार / Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)
In English: Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate personal data
- Erase your personal data (we will delete unless legally required to retain)
- Withdraw consent at any time (including for cookies / analytics)
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you become incapacitated
- Grievance redressal — file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if your rights are not honored
To exercise any of these, email contact@bhartihive.in with the subject line "DPDP Request" and a clear description of which right you’re invoking. We respond within 30 days as required by law.
6. Data sharing with third parties
We share data with third parties only in these specific cases:
- Hosting (Hostinger): Server logs, comment data, and post content are stored on Hostinger’s servers under their security and privacy policies.
- Google (Analytics + AdSense): Anonymized session data + advertising cookies as described in Section 4. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Telegram + WhatsApp: If you join our broadcast channels, you’re subject to those platforms’ own privacy policies — we have no insight into your individual subscriber data, only aggregate channel metrics.
- Legal compliance: If required by a valid Indian court order or law enforcement request under the IT Act 2000 or DPDP Act 2023.
We do not transfer personal data outside India except where required for service operation (e.g., Google services may process data in multiple regions per their global infrastructure).
7. Children’s privacy
Bharti Hive is intended for adult job-seekers (age 18+) and recent graduates / school-leavers (age 17+ for select 10th/12th-pass listings). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents/guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal data should email contact@bhartihive.in.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
– HTTPS-encrypted transit (TLS 1.3) for all site traffic
– WordPress security plugins + regular updates
– Application-level authentication for any admin actions
– Hostinger’s underlying infrastructure security
No system is 100% secure, however. If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India within the timelines required by the DPDP Act 2023.
9. External links
Posts on Bharti Hive link to official government websites, notification PDFs, and aggregator portals. We have no control over the privacy practices of those external sites. Please review their privacy policies separately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective from” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be announced via a banner on the homepage for 7 days. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Grievance Officer (per IT Act 2000)
Per Rule 5(9) of the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures) Rules, 2011 and DPDP Act 2023:
- Name: Grievance Officer, Bharti Hive
- Email: contact@bhartihive.in (subject line:
"Grievance") - Response time: Acknowledgment within 24 hours; resolution within 15 days
If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India (once functional) or the Adjudicating Officer under the IT Act 2000.
